1. Introduction to Data Science

This programme can range from a standalone afternoon session to a term-long programme depending on the preference of our partners. It aims to help students familiarise themselves with the data science workflow starting with basic statistical concepts before moving into other aspects such as cleaning, modelling and visualisation. These sessions are complemented with hands-on coding sessions with our annotated code books. Our goal is to help our students be able to deliver a story based on a problem space they are interested in based on the data that we have worked with them to discover. Some articles include deep dives of rent in Singapore, flight delays as well as housing.

2. Data Science Practicum

For partners who wish for a longer-term programme, we also offer a practicum phase for participants to revisit concepts that are covered in the Introduction phase and expose participants to more technical skills and storyboarding techniques. This phase is intended to be more code-focused. Participants are also expected to deliver a storytelling product.

3. Build with AI

Conceptualised as a term-long programme, the Build with AI course is designed to help participants understand when they can turn to AI to solve problems productively. In the long-term, the goal is to equip them with knowledge to be able to use tech to solve more problems. At the same time, the programme will also cover ‘threats’ and ethical issues that come along with technology.

The programme will cover the use of AIs to generate as well as analyse different mediums of information including text, images as well as audio.
